From December 4th to 6th, with the support of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea and in cooperation with the New Ireland Provincial Government, the MCC19 Group coordinated and organized a Chinese medical team to conduct a free treatment activity at New Ireland Province Kavieng General Hospital.
The free treatment medical team was led by Secretary of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea Chu Yumeng and Head of the Chinese medical team for foreign aid Ke Dazhi. During the free treatment activity, the medical team was stationed at New Ireland Province Kavieng General Hospital. It mainly included ward rounds, outpatient services and surgical operations, involving the Internal Medicine Department, Neurosurgery Department, Urinary Surgery Department, General Surgery Department and other fields. MCC19’s Papua New Guinea Company paid close attention to this free treatment activity. All the departments coordinated positively. Before the activity, the company sent personnel to contact the local government and Kavieng General Hospital to confirm the specific affairs of the activity, and arranged three Chinese employees and two Papua New Guinean employees to be in charge of the connection and other work between the medical team and Kavieng General Hospital.
During the activity, the Chinese medical team for foreign aid donated a large amount of medical supplies to Kavieng General Hospital. MCC19’s Papa New Guinea Company also gave corresponding donations to New Ireland Province. After the activity, the governor of New Ireland Province sincerely thanked the Chinese medical team and expressed his hope that the medical team will continue to hold similar activities at Kavieng General Hospital in future. He also thanked MCC19’s Papua New Guinea Company for carefully arranging and organizing the activity.
