On November 24th, the Anhui Provincial Committee’s organization department reported that the 'process and equipment team for water treatment and energy conservation' under the guidance of President of the MCC Huatian Institute of Water Technology Cheng Hanfei had been selected as the eighth '115' Industry Innovation Team. This team will be authorized to receive financial support of RMB 100,000 for scientific research costs in the subsequent five years as regulated.
The water treatment technology of MCC Huatian has always enjoyed a high reputation in the industry; the Group possesses three provincial and ministerial-level technical centers: the 'MCC Water Treatment Engineering Technology Center', the 'Anhui Water Treatment Engineering Technology Research Center for Metallurgy and Papermaking' and the 'Mechanical Industry’s Technology and Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center for Sewage Treatment and Energy Conservation'. It also has one key equipment manufacturing base for water treatment. The MCC Huatian Group has built competitive advantages in such areas as the research and application of sewage treatment and energy conservation operation, the technological development of key equipment for water treatment, sewage treatment and comprehensive utilization for steel metallurgy, watercourse and pond treatment and ecological remediation for hemodialysis and so on. As the support unit of the 'key environmental technology equipment encouraged by the State' specified by the NDRC at present, the MCC Huatian Group has compiled many state-related and industrial standards. The team guided by Cheng Hanfei carried out systematic research on water treatment technology and equipment, effectively solved such common problems as ubiquitous low efficiency, high operating costs, low resource utilization rates and others, realized production from technology and the product’s industrialization, and greatly improved the environmental protection industry development of the MCC Huatian Group.
