On June 28th, MCC CIE convened a special production safety meeting and production safety management system publicizing, explanation, training and discussion meeting. It was presided over by Production Safety Department Director Wang Ziran and attended by MCC CIE Party Committee Secretary, President and Safety Commission Director Yi Shuguang, Chief Accountant Chen Yong, Deputy General Manager Le Wenyi and other leaders.
At the meeting, Director Wang Ziran introduced the Group’s background and requirements for implementing entity responsibility in the production safety of enterprises. Special Safety Cadre Wu Huabin introduced the key contents of MCC CIE’s production safety management system and organized attendees to watch the production safety policy publicity and education film Life First.
In his summary speech, Deputy General Manager Le Wenyi put forward specific requirements: first, the country has strengthened the intensity of punishments handed down for production accidents; as such, it is necessary to be highly aware of the importance of production safety work, and work practically and effectively in production safety jobs. Second, the Production Safety Management Department shall increase the training and examination intensity of production safety, supervise, urge and guide the production safety work, constantly standardize the Company’s production safety measures and nip hazards in the bud. Third, it is necessary to guarantee production safety responsibilities, compress production safety responsibilities layer upon layer, and fulfill the responsibilities and duties of all posts. Fourth, it is vital to strictly carry out MCC CIE’s production safety management system and reinforce its production safety management. Fifth, it is necessary to earnestly complete all production safety standardization work, realize the full coverage of MCC CIE’s production safety standardization and establish its brand.
In his speech, President Yi Shuguang emphasized the following: first, it is important to pay close attention to production safety work, establish safety development concepts, carry forward the spirit of Life First and implement a one-vote negation system in production safety assessment. Second, MCC CIE’s heavy production and management workload in the second half of the year will exert greater pressure on production safety, so all units must practically implement the entity responsibility of production safety and strengthen the production safety management work. Third, the relevant functional departments shall combine the onsite reality in organizing project management, safety management observation and learning and training, and invite senior project managers to carry out project management and safety management training involving talking about their experience and lessons. Fourth, while carrying out MCC CIE’s energy saving and environmental protection business, the relevant departments shall organize and emphasize research into the new production safety situations and tasks brought about by the Activated Carbon Project, purposefully discover and solve problems, and ensure production safety. Fifth, safety first; it is necessary to emphasize production safety at all times, proceed from the details and ensure safety protection to the highest standards.
The meeting was attended by principals from all units, all project managers and production safety managers of all subsidiaries and branch companies, and employees of the Production Safety Department.
