On September 16, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC, and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, met with Pei Wentian, Deputy Director of the National Mine Safety Administration, and his entourage at the MCC Tower in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on safety in production.
Chen Jianguang welcomed the visit of Pei Wentian and his entourage and briefly introduced the basic situation of MCC. He said that in recent years, MCC has successfully transformed with its strong technical advantages in iron and steel metallurgy, and has made excellent achievements and accumulated rich experience in municipal infrastructure construction, mine construction, resource development, ecological and environmental protection, etc. In the first half of this year, MCC"s main business performance indicators grew steadily, quality and efficiency of operation continued to improve, and economic operation made a good start. Under the guidance of National Mine Safety Administration, MCC will make safety in production a top priority, firmly remember the safety concept, implement safety responsibilities, strengthen the sense of responsibility, improve the management and control system, coordinate resource allocation, and adhere to legal compliance to continuously improve the management level of safety in production and make contributions to maintaining a safe, stable, and harmonious environment.
Pei Wentian expressed his appreciation for the remarkable achievements made in the reform and development of MCC, and put forward pertinent opinions and suggestions on the next step to strengthen safety in production. He said that safety in production is related to the well-being of the people and the overall economic and social development. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the work of safety in production, made a series of important statements on safety in production, and repeatedly stressed the need to coordinate development and safety. MCC should master the spirit of the important instructions and comments made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on safety in production, consciously adhere to the concept of people first and life first, and regard safety in production as the maximum benefit of the enterprise and the maximum welfare of employees; further implement the main responsibility of safety in production, allocate and strengthen professional management organizations and personnel, strictly control the design, evaluation, construction, and production, and firmly hold the bottom line of safety in production; and further make good use of the advantages of professional technology, set industry benchmarks, play a demonstration role, build enterprise brands, and firmly build the safety foundation for high-quality enterprise development.
