On November 25, the 2022 China (Hebei) International Ice and Snow Industry Development Conference opened in Shijiazhuang. Wang Zhengpu, Governor of Hebei Province, Ren Hongbin, the President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Juan Antonio Samaranch, Vice President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Johan Eliasch, President of the International Ski Federation (FIS), and other guests delivered video speeches. Zhang Mengxing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC and Secretary and President of the Party Committee of China MCC, was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Zhang Mengxing briefly introduced the high-quality development process of MCC and shared the construction experience of MCC in the field of ice and snow industry with the attendants. He pointed out that MCC has always attached great importance to and actively integrated into the development of the ice and snow industry and has performed well in the construction of the National Sliding Center for the Beijing Winter Olympics, winning wide praise from all walks of life. In the future, MCC will continue to give full play to the advantages of the whole industrial chain of a central enterprise, seriously implement advanced concepts, models, and technologies, and further increase investment and construction in the field of ice and snow industry. He hoped to take the successful convening of the conference as an opportunity to continuously strengthen extensive exchanges and cooperation with all parties and to jointly promote international exchanges and cooperation in the ice and snow industry to a new level and create a new situation for mutual benefit and win-win results.
It is reported that, the conference, with the theme of "focusing on the post-Olympics and promoting international cooperation in the ice and snow industry", set up an online main venue in Shijiazhuang, and set up sub-venues in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Inner Mongolia, and some relevant overseas countries. The conference is committed to building a comprehensive international exchange and cooperation platform for the post-Olympic economy that integrates project negotiation, industrial connection, post-Olympic venue utilization and international ice and snow sports promotion, exhibition tourism promotion, and ice and snow industry exposition. It consists of four activities, including the opening ceremony, Convention & Exhibition Industry Expo & Hebei Exhibition Development Forum, Hebei International Investment and Financing Project Promotion and Exchange Conference, and the International Ice and Snow Arc International Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Seminar.
