On March 16, MCC Communication won the bid for the general contracting project of Chabaiyintala-Caogaotu setion of Jining-Arun Banner linking-up line, Erenhot-Guangzhou Expressway.
The project starts from the Chabaiyintala (Chitong boundary) of Ar Horqin Banner in Chifeng City, connecting with the Daban-Chabaiyintala section, under reconstruction, of Jining-Arun Banner Expressway, and ends at Caogaotu (Tongxing boundary) in Tongliao City through Lubei Town of Jarud Banner, connecting with the Caogaotu-Ulanhot section, under reconstruction, of Jining-Arun Banner Expressway, with a total length of 108.652 kilometers, of which the newly built Lubei transit section is 29.963 kilometers, and the remaining sections are reconstructed using existing first-class highways. Along the whole line, there are five interchanges, including Xiangshan, Xiaoheishan, Donghu (hub), Xinsheng (hub), and Uegeqi; 114.474 kilometers of auxiliary roads are under synchronous construction, of which the newly built section is 43.630 kilometers, the reconstructed section is 52.309 kilometers, and the existing first-class highways that are fully utilized are 18.535 kilometers; the Xiangshan interchange is 2.461 km long and the Uegeqi interchange is 3.245 km long; with a total construction period of 1,095 calendar days.
After the completion of the project, Inner Mongolia will realize convenient connection of eastern, central and western expressways.
