On the morning of July 8, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, visited WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (WISDRI) for investigation and guidance. He convened a leadership symposium, listened to the work report on production and operation, recognized the achievements made by WISDRI in recent years and put forward specific requirements for WISDRI's works in the next stage.
First, we should aim at creating a world-class enterprise and make continuous efforts in technological innovation. We should implement the relevant requirements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) on building a world-class enterprise, refine and implement the work plan according to the system documents, and fully stimulate the vitality of market entities. We should make technological innovation the core enabler for accelerating the research and development of green and digital steelmaking technology, and make positive contributions to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
Second, we should make continuous efforts to strengthen basic management according to the requirements of high-quality development. We should strengthen the system construction, optimize and improve the enterprise management system, organizational structure, and business process, and ensure that all business systems are connected from top to bottom and have effective implementation capability. It is necessary to strengthen the prevention and control management of financial capital risks so as to scientifically predict risks, objectively face risks and actively resolve risks. And we should strengthen the building of talent teams, especially the ideological refinement, political training, practical exercise and professional training of young cadres, to improve the ideological and political level and professional ability of young cadres.
Third, we should consolidate our leading advantages in the industry and make continuous efforts to enhance market competitiveness. We should always adhere to scientific and technological innovation, continuously consolidate the leading superiority in technologies, drive the market with technology, strive to maintain the leading position in the high-end market, and steadily increase the domestic market share. Based on the world's leading core processes and equipment technology capabilities which are continuously innovated and upgraded, we should actively participate in international competition and promote Chinese standards and Chinese technology to "go global".
Fourth, we should give full play to the leading role of Party building and make continuous efforts to improve corporate governance. We should implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statement of the CPC's leadership in SOEs and the reform to establish a modern enterprise system within SOEs, adhere to the unity of strengthening the leadership of the Party and improving the corporate governance, and integrate the leadership of the Party into all aspects of corporate governance. It is necessary to continuously improve the decision-making rules and procedures of the Board of Directors, the Party Committee and the general manager meeting, accelerate the establishment of a corporate governance mechanism of everyone doing their own duties, taking their own responsibilities with coordinative operation and effective checks and balances, and continuously improve the corporate governance capacity and level. We ought to do a good job in the implementation of Party building leading league building and the construction of trade unions, deepen the "party building +" brand to continuously transform the advantages of Party building into the advantages of high-quality development of enterprises.
