On January 30, Chen Jianguang, member of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC, and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, visited Zou Jixin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of China Baowu Group, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Baosteel, and the two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on further deepening cooperation in fields such as metallurgical construction, metallurgical operation services, overseas project construction, and green and low-carbon development.
Chen Jianguang expressed thanks to Baosteel for its long-term strong support for MCC, reviewed the 30-year friendly cooperation between MCC and Baosteel, and introduced the reform and development achievements of MCC. He pointed out that MCC is the largest, strongest and best metallurgical construction contractor and metallurgical enterprise operation service provider in the world. In recent years, it has achieved successful transformation by virtue of its professional skills and business qualifications in the field of steel metallurgy, and made outstanding achievements in high-end housing construction, infrastructure, municipal roads, etc. In 2022, facing complex and challenging situations at home and abroad, MCC achieved growth against trend in the signed contract amount, operating revenue, net profit, and other operating performance indicators, creating a new history of enterprise development, and becoming the "stabilizer," "ballast stone," and "power source" of China Minmetals.

Zou Jixin welcomed Chen Jianguang's visit and expressed appreciation for the remarkable achievements made by MCC in the reform and development. He pointed out that Baosteel and MCC have always been keeping in close contact and growing together. The construction and development of Baowu, Baosteel, Meisteel and Zhanjiang Steel cannot be separated from the strong support of MCC. In particular, during the anti-pandemic and production guarantee period in 2022, Baosteel implemented the requirements of "pandemic prevention, economic stability, and development safety" to grasp both pandemic prevention and control and production and operation at the same time to the great extent. After the meeting, Chen Jianguang came to the project sites, located in MCC Baosteel, of the integrated sintering flue gas desulfurization and denitrification, and the gas piping drainer replacement of the Energy and Environmental Protection Department for inspection and guidance.
