On July 28th, Mr. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council, explicitly arranged the work concerning urban underground integrated pipeline galleries construction at the State Council executive meeting. State media including Xihua News Agency reported the arrangement, taking MCC’s Hengqin integrated pipeline project as the example. “No cobweb-like pipelines, no crowded utility poles, no zipper road troubles, and no bothers of ground garbage from engineering projects” will be a standard for modern cities.
For further communication with the capital market, the Company firmly captures opportunities from the central government’s comprehensive deployment of urban underground integrated pipeline galleries construction, and adheres to the upgraded strategy of “Four Sectors and Eight Types of Business”, which reflect the strong strength and development potential of the Company. On August 7, 2015, MCC organized its 2015 reverse roadshow. With the theme of highlighting high-end municipal infrastructure project, the reverse roadshow conducted field research for Zhuhai Hengqin municiple project and the underground integrated pipeline galleries. 23 investors and analysts from 16 domestic and overseas institutions including CICC, China Asset Management and ICBCCS took part in the activity.
In the morning of August 7, Lin Xiaohui, Deputy Director of BOD Office of MCC, presided over the launching meeting of the reverse roadshow, accorded investors and analysts a hearty welcome and expressed sincere gratitude for their gathering in Zhuhai to visit MCC’ project frontline as well as care and support to MCC. He also delivered a brief introduction of MCC’s operating status since this year, basic information of subsidiaries under research, and arrangements of the reverse roadshow. Afterwards, the roadshow team conducted surveys of the municipal planning of Zhuhai Hengqin New Area, MCC Zhuhai Hengqin Headquarters Building, and Zhuhai Hengqin underground integrated pipeline galleries, respectively. Ye Zhixiang, General Manager of China MCC20 Group Huanan Branch, Leng Xuzhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chief Engineer Xu Haiyan delivered detailed introduction of project background, operation patterns, technical specification, and management measures, and conducted in-depth discussion on issues that investors and analysts concerned including corporate competitiveness, project investment return, state support and future marketing.
During the reverse roadshow, investors and analysts expressed that they have vividly gained knowledge of MCC’s outstanding performance in expanding the large municipal infrastructure project market and MCC’s technical strength and development potential in professional and high-end construction. Specifically, the Zhuhai Hengqin pipeline project, in the interest of the current and future generations, received warm responses among investors and analysts as the regional integrated pipeline gallery project that is the most complicated in terms of construction with the largest one-time investment, the most pipeline incorporated, and the largest service scope.
Investors and analysts considered the construction of underground integrated pipeline galleries an inevitable trend of urban development. Compared to traditional pipeline installation, underground integrated pipeline gallery is with huge synthetic benefits, which is inevitable since cities are upgrading and ideas are changing with favorable policies.
